CalenBar does not collect, store or transmit any personal data. Your calendar never leaves your Mac.

Who we are

What the app does with your data

• Calendar events. After you grant access, CalenBar reads events from the calendars set up on your Mac through Apple’s EventKit framework. It reads event titles, times, locations, notes, links and attendees so it can show them to you. It never creates, changes or deletes events. All of this happens on your Mac.
• No network access. The app runs in the macOS App Sandbox without permission to connect to the internet. It cannot send your data anywhere, to us or to anyone else.
• Notifications. Reminders before an event are created and delivered locally by macOS.
• Settings. Your preferences, such as which calendars to show, are stored on your Mac.
• No accounts, analytics or ads. There is nothing to sign up for. The app contains no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code.

What happens when you click Join

CalenBar opens the meeting link from your event in the meeting app or in your browser. From that point the meeting service’s own privacy policy applies. CalenBar itself sends nothing to that service.

Feedback emails

“Send feedback…” opens a draft in your email app, with your CalenBar and macOS version filled in. Nothing is sent unless you send it. If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply.

The Mac App Store

CalenBar is distributed through Apple’s Mac App Store. Apple processes your download under its own privacy policy. If you chose to share analytics with app developers in your macOS settings, Apple gives us aggregated, anonymous figures such as download counts and crash reports. We cannot identify you from them.

This website

calenbar.co uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking scripts. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical request data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect the site, as any web server must.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about CalenBar users, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence removed, tell us and we will delete it. You can revoke the app’s calendar access at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
